Please Get Vaccinated!

As the COVID-19 numbers rise in our community, we are actively encouraging all who can to get any one of the free vaccines for the safety of all our friends and families. By getting vaccines and continuing to mask, we CAN lower the need for hospitalizations due the the Delta variant, and hopefully give some relief to our heroic medical teams. In addition, it will keep our community from having to go into a second and even more debilitating lockdown. Mangia Bene restaurants started the “Let’s Keep Mississippi Open!” campaign in July, offering $10 gift cards to guests showing a recent vaccination card. Kinkade’s Fine Clothing, Duling Hall, and others have joined in to offer drawings of their goods, well.

Starting this Thursday (August 26th), we are offering ONE FREE CHILD ADMISSION for an adult showing their new or completed COVID-19 vaccination card and their valid ID at admission. We are also requiring ALL guests (vaccinated or not) to wear their masks inside the Gift Shop, inside the Backyard Creatures house, under the Splash Pad lounge, and whenever they are within 6 feet of other staff or guests or animal exhibits. Details on how to get the free admission along with purchasing tickets with credit/debit cards (or reserving and paying with cash on arrival) can be found on our SHOP page.

Guests will not be admitted without producing (or purchasing) a mask for use during their visit, and they may be asked at anytime they are on grounds to wear it near certain exhibits. With limited staff and resources, we cannot afford any of our employees or animals to get sick

Splash Pad is included, and Endangered Species carousel rides are $2 each.
Hot Diggity Dog, Dippin’ Dots, and Brick Street Pops are open weekends and holidays, there are Pepsi machines on grounds, and we do allowed bottled water. We also encourage parents and teachers who do want to bring food to use Livingston Park for their picnicking. No outside food or beverages (except water) are allowed on zoo grounds.
